death sentence

before I face God,
I have a confession.

I was never brave before,
as I had always chosen the safest route possible.

I was never courageous before,
as I lived my life hidden behind a mask.

I was never totally honest before,
I convinced myself that I have shed away the mask,
but all I did was making it less thicker and that's it.

I was never wise before,
as I sowed wisdom into people's mind,
feeling proud that I made changes to people's life,
but rarely take heed of it myself.

I was never truly humble before,
as I consciously parade my blessings,
but acting as if I'm oblivious of them,
and secretly snickered at those who doesn't own them.

I was never the person I made people thought I was.

It used to be hard to live in that facade,
but as time passed by,
the facade has turned into my second skin.

Now, in this spot, I have been stripped bare.

Everything is transparent.

There's no mask, no hole, no facade, no nothing for me to run and hide anymore.

It is strange. I previously thought this transparency would kill me.
Instead, I feel somewhat--

elated.

But, what difference will this realization make now? It is the end anyway.

Devastating as it is, there's a fact that I couldn't change;

the end of me is the end full of
regrets.

to whom this might concerned,

dear sir,

I'm an entity
who lives not a stone throw away than you
not another half of what consists of you
not a magic man who could predict you
not an alternate universe that could
                  salvage you
not a rocket scientist who could send you
                  to the moon
not a  mechanic who could fix you
not an unworldly creature of wonderland
                  not your mom either
                  nor your relatives
                  nor your friends
                  nor whatsoever.

For the benefits of your unspoken inquiries,

No, I could not read people's minds
No, I could not handle people who expected me to be able to
No, I could not feel anything but sorry for those who insisted that I actually could.

Thus, it is highly appreciated if our next discourse could be in the form of clear, oral exchange and to leave out anything that has to do with mind reading.

And if this is any consolation, it is not you, it is me, who is lacking here. In mind reading ability and what not.

Thank you for your undivided attention (If you are giving one that is).

Sincerely,
Concerned Entity

idiocy that runs in the blood

It's true
Honesty is the best policy.

Where humans' relationships are concerned
Of course, honesty is vital
Like water for a thirsty man
Stranded in the desert.

But, honesty in words,
Well, it's a different story
Words are sharper than swords,
And like the nature of swords
They can hurt anyone,
And only idiots
would charge these swords
To hurt their loved ones.

Sadly, idiots are idiot,
It's in their blood to be one,
It's part of their
unalterable nature,
And idiocy runs thicker
and thicker from one generation
To the next.

After a millenia of reproduction,
The idiocy is now thicker than blood
But they survived
With the holy license;
"Honesty is the best policy"

And we commonly call them;
Insensitive jerk.
